Trying to find this one book but not sure what it's called?

I was walking around this little shop called Hastings and I found this cool book about (and this is from dull memory) an asortment of stories about people in this one apartment building; it had stories of their lives or something like that etc etc. I didn't get the book and now I'm totally wanting to have it, so if you know which book I'm talking about or something close to it I'd really like to know!
