Made a total fool out of myself (blokes!)?

I was very loved up with my boyfriend and thought he felt the same �for me then he treated me like a doormat and i kicked him out feeling i had no other option. He is now turning this around on me saying that it was my fault...i feel so lovesick and stupid....why do blokes act like that? A bit of honesty is surely not much to ask for!
