Does the school have a legal right to?

The school that my future step-son is going to is interviewing him and trying to coerce him into reporting child abuse against his father when it has never happened. The school counselor and nurse are trying to make him say things and he came home from school today bawling because he didn't know what to do....what is the schools legal rights in this area and what can i do?
