Where do I start to make computer programs?

I am about to turn 13 and I am a very fast learner when it comes to computers. The problem is, I just don't know where to start learning how to make my own programs! I downloaded iPhone SDK hoping to play with it and learn about creating Mac OSX applications, but it all just confuses me. Anybody know where to start?
