What government benefits am i entitled to if im married?

i do not work but my husband works full time, we have tried to get some benefits but its like hitting are head of a brick wall as all we get is your married.. there must be some money we are entitled to. please help i cannot work as i have a very bad chest we have tried for DLA but nothing because we our married.
