Is it possible to make accent vanish,?

Hello! I`m going to live with my uncle in nyc, im 22 years old, and my education is connected with public speaking. I love what i study and i want to work it the whole life, but the prob is that even a little sign of accent will immediately stop my career. So do you think, fluency in english can be obtained in 2-3 years with everyday workout or i should just quit and went mediocrity, working something just for the money without the pion. I`m gonna leave everything, friends, university, home, girls just for chasing the "dream". I`m usuallyy very self confident, but for this not exactly, i`m not sure if there are people who have did it :) Like i told, a little accent and baaaam, everything is gone :X looking for some proof is it possible, even at high price
