Have you noticed that beef in some restaurants has changed? It's gotten worse?

I noticed this at Burger King and McDonald's, so I thought it was just fast food. But last night I ate at Tumbleweed, and I noticed it there, too. The beef, usually hamburgers, has gotten more spongy, and squishy, and a little rubbery. I really don't like this beef at all...has anyone else noticed this? What's the deal?
