Do i need a license to sell my art work in the street in Florida?

more specifically sarasota, i am pretty decent at art and was wondering if i needed a permit or something in order to sell my artwork on the street and do live drawings/spray paintings? I can't seem to find anything on the internet...but i've been to downtown sarasota and i see homeless people with guitars playing and making money...is it sort of the same thing?
