Korean Dramas aired about 6 years ago in the NY/NJ area?

I was wondering if anybody remembers the name of this one Korean Drama where it is about a family with a daughter and a son (maybe more) the son is having romance issues with a woman. Then there is a woman (not sure if she is directly related) but she continues to try to kill herself and I believe she has cancer. Then there is a woman who works at a children's book company and then I believe the younger brother finally gets with the woman or moves out and lives in a tiny apartment. Does this make sense to you? Sorry it was many years ago but it was aired on the only Asian network channel on Cablevision's network. (at the time around channel 20) and was on during the afternoon around 5pm and always after was a japanese drama about feudal lords and samurai.
